New Media Horizons brought together a diverse delegation of creators and decision-makers from various artistic disciplines. The purpose of this initiative was to immerse ourselves in the dynamic French new media ecosystem, strengthen Israel’s creative community, build cultural bridges, and explore potential collaborations with French partners.
The delegation featured a distinguished group of professionals, including: Gili Gaon, Head of Documentaries at Kan 11, Giora Yahalom, Director of the Culture and Arts Division at Tel Aviv Municipality, Mor Frank, Playwright and Theater Director, Ohad Fishof, Musician, Dancer, and Multi-disciplinary Artist, Michal Houminer, Project Manager and a Curator at ANU – Museum of the Jewish People, Maya Shekel, XR Creator and Technologist, Rafael Balulu, Director, Producer, and Chair of the Film and New Media Committee at the Council for Culture and Arts – Israel State Lottery Alona Abt and Tamir Paul, Co-founders and Partners at Hop! Media Group, Nir Saar, XR Creator, Producer, and Artistic Director of Makor Media Lab.
This incredible initiative was led by the French Institute – the French Embassy in Israel – in partnership with Forum des Images, the Makor Foundation for Israeli Films (R.A.), and the Makor Media Lab. We are also deeply grateful for the support of Vered Heller and Michele Seguev, the cultural attachés at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, as well as Alona Abt and Tamir Paul of Hop! Media Group.
