Where’s Yadida?
Israela Shaer Meoded
Seventy years after her grandmother wept beside the empty bed of her missing daughter, the director sets out to uncover what happened to her aunt, one of over one thousand Mizrahi babies who vanished from Israeli hospitals in the 1950s. Through previously unheard testimonies from nurses and doctors, the film exposes the charged emotions of those who last saw these children, exposing a lesser-known, yet deeply harrowing chapter in Israel’s history that continues to haunt both victims and perpetrators to this day.
