The Whale
Eliya Swarttz
Adi, 12, dreams of a giant whale gliding across Israel’s skies until it reaches an offshore gas rig – and the world turns upside down. Through her eyes, we experience her father’s battle, alongside the organization “Shomrei HaBayit,” in Israel’s largest environmental struggle, as they try to expose the truth behind the gas platforms, the lie of “green energy,” and the weight of power and money marshaled against them. Along the way, she comes of age – and so does he. Together they discover what makes a home.
