Makor Media lab is an initiative, operating within the framework of Makor Foundation for Israeli Films, created to encourage and cultivate a bold spirit of innovation among the creative community and to provide it with funding, support, knowledge and enrichment.
In view of the accelerated development of new technologies in the field of digital media, a community has emerged and sought to create a new language in the fields of film, television, internet and cellular platforms, gaming, music, theater, installations and the arts. A new kind of modern day avant-guard is drawing audiences to embrace new narrative possibilities, which leverage new technologies and produce unique visual aesthetics, active and interactive actions on social networks, on mobile phones, tablets and TVs, in VR and AR, in art spaces and festivals and in cinemas and theaters.
Makor Media Lab is working to identify and nurture a community of multi-disciplinary creators and technologists who are doing innovative work with the art and form of the story.
