Game Changer
Nevet Mazor | Artistic consulting: Liran Atzmor
Nevet Mazor, a young autistic man from a remote moshav near the Gaza border, embarks on a journey across Israel, meeting people from different backgrounds who are trying to use tools they’ve learned from video games to cope with the challenges in their lives. Nevet, who was once disconnected from his surroundings, learned about the world solely through video games. His interpersonal communication skills developed only after playing, at age 19, a game in which players had to “make friends” with other characters. Each character in the series tries to apply the logic of video games to deal with their personal struggles. The main goal is to convey, through these stories, the universal experience of being an outsider — and the ways in which people can help one another.
